CCI Promotes Textile Industry Dialogue during Events in China and Turkey

Cotton Council International recently completed programs in China and Turkey designed to improve communications between COTTON USA and the countries’ textile industries and buyers.

The COTTON USA Future Forum in Shanghai, China, provided the latest market information to more than 90 representatives of 50 renowned cotton textile enterprises from China and Hong Kong, as well as key industry media representatives and the U.S. Consulate General, Shanghai, Agricultural Trade Office.

Through the forum, COTTON USA promoted communication between the Chinese and U.S. cotton industries to help open dialogue among participants and boost development of the cotton textile industries.

More than 80 participants from the forum also attended a celebration marking the 25th anniversary of COTTON USA, during which COTTON USA unveiled its new logo and brand identity. Attendees also included COTTON USA licensees, six international designers 64 journalists from 56 media outlets.

In Bodrum, Turkey, nearly 100 participants – including representatives from 30 U.S. exporters and more than 40 Turkish textile mills – attended the COTTON USA “Shaping Cotton’s Future” conference to gain valuable information from industry experts on cotton buying.
