Cotton Inc. Risk Management Seminar Coming to Lubbock

Cotton Incorporated is bringing its popular Cotton Price Risk Management Seminar to the Overton Hotel in Lubbock, TX on Wednesday, April 8, prior to the opening of the Texas Cotton Ginners Association annual meeting and trade show.

The session – which begins at 8:30 am and concludes at 5:00 pm – will focus on market-based strategies for managing price risk for the 2015 crop season, including the value of options, hedging strategies based on various price scenarios, and the most current market outlook.

Dr. John Robinson, professor and Extension economist at Texas A&M University, will lead the program, providing basic instruction on futures and options, as well as strategies involving puts, calls and spreads.

There is no cost to attend the seminar. However, space is limited, and reservations are required. Lunch will be provided.
