Helena Adds Tempest Dual-Action Insecticide

Helena Chemical Company has introduced Tempest Dual-Action insecticide, a new pest management tool that combines two highly effective insecticides with advanced adjuvant technology.

Tempest – a 1:1 ratio of bifenthrin and imidacloprid co-formulated with an in-can adjuvant system – provides quick knockdown and long residual control of sucking and chewing insects on more than 50 crops including cotton, soybeans, tree nuts and vegetables.

The combination of bifenthrin and imidacloprid allows Tempest to control pests by contact or ingestion. It also translocates quickly through plant tissue to provide long-term protection from aphids and other sucking and chewing insects. The built-in adjuvant system provides improved coverage, deposition and retention. It also improves compatibility with other tank-mix partners and improves performance of low volume spray applications for improved penetration into the crop canopy.

Tempest has full EPA approval for aerial and ground application and chemigation. It is compatible with foliar-applied nutritionals and a wide range of other crop protection products.
