Americot Adds Three to Regional Sales Force

Americot, Inc., a leading supplier of premium cotton seed, has added Abby Taylor, Bruce West and Garry Burson to the company’s sales force.

“All have significant agricultural experience in their respective regions, and we are fortunate to now have them on our team,” said Chiree Fields, Americot General Manager. “Adding talented, ag industry veterans like Abby, Bruce and Garry further demonstrates our commitment to our customers, and cotton growers throughout the country.”

Abby Taylor will support Americot customers and growers in Southwest Alabama. Taylor was raised in Yazoo City, MS, and earned a BA in Criminal Justice from Delta State University. After a career change in in 1990, he started in agriculture with Terra in Tallahatchie County, MS. In 1999, he joined Helena Chemical in the same area, then relocated to South Alabama where he started working for Bertolla Farm Supply. When CPS purchased Bertolla in 2011, he became the location manager based in Baldwin County, AL. He resides in Fairhope, AL.

Bruce West will support customers and growers in Mississippi and the Mid-South region. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a BS in Agronomy and Seed Technology. His career began with Hollandale Seed and Delinting Co., where he established a lab and quality control program. In 1993, he joined Jimmy Sanders, Inc., where he spent six years as a field agronomist and 15 years as a location manager in Rolling Fork, MS, and an additional four years with Pinnacle Ag following their purchase of Sanders. Prior to joining Americot, he was employed by Crop Production Services as a crop consultant. West currently resides in Hollandale, MS.

Garry Burson graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Agronomy and a MS in Plant Protection. For the last 39 years, he has been a crop consultant in Floyd County, TX, as well as serving as location manager and sales for Wilbur Ellis in Lockney, TX, for the past 15 years. Burson lives in Lockney and will support Americot customers and growers in the Floyd County area.
