Registration Open for Cotton Incorporated Crop Management Seminar

Cotton Incorporated will conduct its 2014 Crop Management Seminar on November 12-13 at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center. And according to Dr. Ed Barnes, Cotton Incorporated senior director of Agricultural and Environmental Research, “If there’s a common thread running through this year’s seminar, it’s keeping cotton sustainable.”

The seminar – which occurs every other year – has been expanded to two days and will focus on the latest research results for current production challenges, as well as breakthroughs that can have application in the field right away, including apps for agriculture and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

The meeting will also include an afternoon small group format geared for questions, answers and discussion on multiple topics such as new herbicide traits, cotton variety selection, plant bug and spider mite management, and water management.

UAV manufacturers are expected to be on hand to show and demonstrate the agricultural applications. Major irrigation manufacturers will also be at the conference to showcase the latest site-specific technologies available.

The full agenda, hotel information and seminar registration is available online at the Cotton Incorporated website. Conference seating is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
