Sanders Acquires United Ag in Texas

Jimmy Sanders Incorporated – a subsidiary of Pinnacle Agriculture Holdings, LLC – has acquired United Agricultural Cooperative, Inc. – better known as United Ag – of El Campo, TX.

United Ag – which will now operate under the Sanders name – has been providing seed, fertilizer and crop protection services to agricultural communities along the Texas Gulf Coast since 1982. The company operates five locations – two in El Campo, plus single locations in Danevang, Edna and Victoria.

United Ag, which began as Farmers Cooperative of El Campo (FCEC), was formed by the consolidation of El Campo Farmers Cooperative and Modern Farmers Cooperative Society, both of which were incorporated in the late 1920s. FCEC merged with Danevang Farmers Cooperative in 2012 to create United Agricultural Cooperative.

United Ag General Manager Jimmy Roppolo said, “The Sanders strategy is extremely exciting and will create new opportunities for our business to continue providing our customers with the highest level of service possible.  We are aligning with a team that is committed to innovation and capable of delivering new solutions for our farmers. Sanders’ foundation of trust, loyalty, and integrity is very much like that of United Ag.”

All current employees of United Ag will retain their positions under the new ownership.
