Winners Named in PhytoGen Best Yielder Club Sweepstakes

Jimmy Glaser of Rosebud, TX, is the grand prize winner of the 2015 PhytoGen Best Yielder Club sweepstakes.

The results were announced July 31 during the company’s Driving Farm Solutions event in Leland, MS. As grand prize winner, Glaser received a utility trailer and a pallet of PhytoGen cottonseed. More than $40,000 worth of prizes was awarded to Best Yielder Club members across the Cotton Belt.

“PhytoGen is definitely my favorite variety to plant,” says Glaser, who planted PhytoGen brand PHY 333 WRF on his farm last year. “I’ve entered the Best Yielder Club every year, but I’m quite surprised to win!” Glaser estimates the seed prize will cover 250 acres. He is also pleased with the rugged 16-foot trailer with a 12,000-pound payload capacity.

“The seed alone is a good prize, but the trailer is a very nice addition,” he says. “The trailer is well-made. And since it doesn’t have side rails, it’ll load easily – just drop seed on it with a forklift and go.”

Seven regional winners in the Best Yielder Club sweepstakes received a minifridge and a job-site radio, courtesy of PhytoGen. The regional winners are Wally Childress, Bogota, TN; Billy Eggemeyer, Midland, TX, Brian Fyfe, Lyon, MS; James Hatfield, Franklin, VA; Jay Larson, Thatcher, AZ; Ted Milliron, Shellman, GA; and Nicholas Pinkston, Sinton, TX.
