Dates Set for 2016 Mississippi Scout Schools
March 21, 2016 Mississippi State University has announced the dates and agenda for five scout schools, all to be held in April.
Over the past few years, the training has diversified beyond insect pests to also include discussions and training on plant growth stages, diseases, fertility, sampling techniques, and herbicide symptomology.
School dates and locations are:
- April 4 – Hopson Commissary, Clarksdale, MS
- April 6 – Capps Center, Stoneville, MS
- April 8 – Magnolia Center, Verona, MS
- April 12 – Agricola Storm Shelter, Lucedale, MS
- April 13 – McKenzie Arena, Raymond, MS.
Each school begins at 9:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Lunch is provided, and no preregistration is needed. The schools will qualify as In-Service credit for MSU-ES agents, renewal of Insect, Weed and Disease sections of the Mississippi consultant’s license, and quality for CEU hours.
