AgriThority Adds Dr. Neil Forrester
August 11, 2009 AgriThority LLC, an independent field and clinical data-through-delivery product and market development company specializing in crop and animal agriculture, horticulture and allied markets, has expanded its global reach with the addition of Neil Forrester, PhD, entomologist and biotechnology specialist, as the company’s lead for Asia-Pacific and Africa.
Based in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, Dr. Forrester brings to AgriThority more than 35 years of experience serving global agriculture markets.
“We’re very excited to have Dr. Forrester join our team,” says Jerry Duff, AgriThority LLC managing member. “He shares the vision of our partner-members that a private resource for industry in the development and transfer of new products and technologies to the marketplace is needed in this era of rapid change.
“He will lead our business efforts in Asia-Pacific and Africa, and he will support our business here in the Americas,” he continues. “Dr. Forrester and our other partner-members help make AgriThority an extraordinary new asset for companies developing and transferring bio-science and new product technologies to the marketplace, and for the producers and influencers who must understand how to efficiently and cost-effectively implement these new technologies in commercial applications.”
Dr. Forrester began his career as an entomologist working on a range of field crops, including implementing conventional insecticide and transgenic crop resistance management strategies. Dr. Forrester earned his PhD from the University of Queensland and became deeply involved in the development and application of biotechnology in field crops.
Most recently he was Vice President of Business Development for Hexima Ltd, an Australian transgenic technology company, after serving over nine years with Delta and Pine Land Pty Ltd. While at D&PL, Dr. Forrester served in several capacities, including global Director of New Markets, based in Memphis, TN.
