Results of 2016 Insecticide Efficacy Survey Now Online

The results of the 2016 Insecticide Efficacy Survey for cotton, corn and soybeans are now available online.

“Extension entomologists are surveyed yearly across the Cotton Belt for how well insecticides and Bt crops are working,” said Dominic Reisig, NC State University Extension entomologist. “These results are summarized and formatted in a spreadsheet, which includes responses broken out by region.”

The surveys are conducted anonymously, and respondents are asked to rate insecticides or Bt products on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 representing “not effective” and 10 being “completely effective.” Regional responses are shown for the Mid-South, Southeast and West.
