Topcon Tabs Cook as North American Sales Manager

Martin J. Cook of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, has been named North American sales manager for Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA). The announcement was made by Michael Bourke, TPA global director of sales.
 
For the past two years Cook has been regional sales manager for TPA in Canada. In that position, he was responsible for increasing precision agriculture sales by more than 350 percent in two years.
 
Bourke said, “This appointment is significant for the company. Marty has more than 10 years of experience in the precision agriculture market, knows how to set up distribution channels and understands the importance of building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key decision makers.”
 
In this new position, Bourke said, “Marty will use his expertise in developing sales territories to set up short-term and long-term goals and objectives to ensure Topcon’s position as a world leader in the precision agriculture market.”
 
Cook said, “This is an exciting time to be associated with TPA and I am grateful for this opportunity.  I want to use my experience, management skills honed over the past decade, and contacts within the industry to assist TPA in setting and hitting strategic sales goals.”
 
Prior to working for TPA, Cook served as territory sales manager and regional sales manager for Novariant/Auto Farm in California, territory manager for Ramboc Enterprises, a distributor of fertilizer handling systems, and sales manager in the retail sector.
