Deltapine Gears Up for TCGA Trade Show Exhibit

Deltapine brand cottonseed looks forward to an exciting 2011 Texas Cotton Ginners’ Association Trade Show in Lubbock, TX on March 31-April 1. The Deltapine exhibit booth will be located in the Pedestrian Mall Exhibit Area, space 286-287, and will offer information on:
Deltapine cotton variety performance in West Texas

  • Farmers who are looking to make top-end yields in 2011 to take advantage of high cotton prices need to consider planting Deltapine varieties such as DP 0912 B2RF, DP 1032 B2RF and DP 1044 B2RF. When compared with competitor stacked-gene lines at 94 sites, DP 0912 B2RF showed an average yield advantage of 99 pounds per acre. In 96 site comparisons to the same competitor varieties, DP 1032 B2RF showed an average yield advantage of 156 pounds per acre, and DP 1044 B2RF showed an advantage of 195 pounds per acre in 70 comparisons.

FFA Cotton Video Awards Ceremony

  • On Friday to start the PCGA Annual Meeting in the Civic Center Banquet Hall, Deltapine will honor the West Texas FFA chapters that competed in a program that brought together area cotton gins and local FFA chapters in 2010. FFA chapters produced and promoted a video highlighting the importance of cotton yield and the impact cotton farming has on their community. The videos were judged and awards will be given on Friday around 9 a.m.
