June 1, 2009 In 2008, Dyna-Gro introduced three new varieties, two of which are Bollgard/Roundup Ready Flex selections and the other is a single-gene Roundup Ready Flex variety.
Leading off is Dyna-Gro 2570 B2RF, one of the Bollgard II and Roundup Ready Flex varieties that has shown good results Beltwide.
“Dyna-Gro 2570 is a proprietary product of ours and it has broad adaptation,” says Dyna-Gro’s Seed Production Manager Tommy Killebrew. “It works from the Carolinas through the Mid-South and into West Texas. We’ve had good success with it in all of those areas.”
“Every time we bring on a new variety, it’s going to have a higher yield,” adds seed agronomist Larry Stauber “We want a minimum of 100 to 200 pounds of lint more, and we always want to upgrade fiber quality.”
Dyna-Gro 2490 B2RF is the Bollgard II/Roundup Ready Flex variety that excels on sandier soils and under heat stress.
Dyna-Gro 2400 RF is the single gene Flex variety, that is adapted to most growing regions and has shown excellent yield potential in Texas where natural refuge is not an option.
