MANA Acquires Diamond Insecticide

Makhteshim Agan of North America, Inc., (MANA) and Chemtura Corporation have announced an agreement for MANA to acquire the rights to Diamond, a broad-spectrum cotton and sugarcane insecticide, offering a unique mode of action. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

MANA has been the technical registrant of Novaluron, the active ingredient in Diamond, to Chemtura and will continue to manufacture all Diamond technical material. As part of the distribution agreement, MANA receives from Chemtura all registrations, regulatory data, trademark rights and existing inventories of the insecticide.

With a unique mode of action for long-lasting control of a wide range of insect larvae and nymphs that diminish and damage cotton yields, Diamond is the newest crop protection product added to a portfolio of more than 50 branded insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, plant growth regulators and harvest aids offered by MANA.

For more information about Diamond or other MANA crop protection products, talk to a local ag retailer or visit www.manainc.com. Always read and follow label directions when using Diamond or any agrichemical product.
