Cotton Prices, Planting Underway

The December contract on the New York Cotton Exchange broke below and out of an up-channel on Wednesday, April 16, and has not rebounded. On Monday, December closed at 81.64, down 113.

Planting is underway in most areas of the Cotton Belt, and it would not be surprising to see market respond to plantings progress – assuming, of course, the market is being driven my fundamentals again.
