Planting Progress Below Five-Year Average

Growers continued to make good progress compared to 2007, but are behind the five-year average, USDA says.

California and Louisiana are ahead of the five-year average, while Arizona and Tennessee are about equal. All other states are behind the five year average, but Alabama, Georgia and Texas are ahead of 2007.
