Cotton Incorporated to Host Risk Management Seminar in Memphis

If so, circle February 13 on your calendar and plan to attend Cotton Incorporated’s Cotton Price Risk Management Seminar at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis.

The workshop is designed to review multiple market-based strategies for managing price risk for the 2013 crop season, including crop and revenue insurance.

Instructors for the day are Dr. Carl Anderson and Dr. John Robinson, both with Texas A&M University, who will discuss when and how to use a variety of option strategies involving puts, calls and spreads; and Dr. O.A. Cleveland of Mississippi State University, who will provide a current market update. Joe O’Neill, former president of the New York Cotton Exchange, will moderate the day’s discussion.

The event begins at 8:30 am, continuing until 5:00 pm. There is no attendance fee, and lunch will be provided. However, space is limited, so advance registration is recommended.
