Tennessee Extension Weed Specialist Larry Steckel says there’s a lot of interest in aerial seeding of cover crops into standing crops like cotton, corn and soybeans this fall to help with weed suppression next spring.

In [**a recent UT News Blog post**](http://news.utcrops.com/2014/08/aerial-sowing-cover-crops-for-weed-control/#more-10663), Steckel noted that the most common questions he gets focus on what cover crop should be sown and at what rate. The answers, however, lie in a grower’s planting intentions for their fields next year.
