Turkmenistan’s cotton production is currently estimated to reach more than 1.1 million tons, according to various news reports.

More than 1 million tons has already been harvested since August from more than 500,000 hectares.

Government officials are indicating the country plans to provide the Turkmenistan textile industry with a $1 billion boost, driven by foreign investment and the construction of new textile facilities.
