# NC State Issues 2016 Cotton Planning Info

The North Carolina State University Extension cotton group has released two documents online to help the state’s cotton growers plan and prepare for the 2016 crop.

The [2016 Cotton Information Book](https://cotton.ces.ncsu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/2016_Cotton_Jan3.pdf?fwd=no) provides information ranging from crop planning, weed and insect management and pre-harvest preparation.

The group has also published preliminary results from their [2015 OVT trials](https://cotton.ces.ncsu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Chapter5_All-Tables_Jan4_2016-1.pdf?fwd=no) to assist with variety comparisons for this season.
