An [article from the *Arkansas Democrat-Gazette*](http://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2015/nov/15/price-fall-on-grains-lifts-pall-on-cott/) hinted that cotton acreage in Arkansas could rebound in 2016, primarily due to dropping prices for grain crops.

Although cotton prices are not at a profitable level, it may be least-worst option available to growers next season. It could also help keep the state’s cotton gins in action, as ginners look for ways to help boost their growers’ bottom lines.
