A [Texas A&M AgriLife Research study](http://today.agrilife.org/2015/11/14/researchers-high-plains-cotton-production-can-survive-predicted-climate-changes/) has shown that cotton production in the High Plains can survive expected climate changes, especially if water is available to compensate for higher temperatures, and increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations can mitigate yield loss in the dry years.
