For more than a decade, Texas farmers have use Roundup Ready PLUS® Crop Management Solutions for weed control recommendations and incentives to utilize residual herbicides as part of an integrated weed management system.
Bayer has made a concerted effort to simplify the program for 2019, breaking the incentives down into a three-step process, allowing growers to control weeds and cash in on easy-to-earn incentives.
New to the platform this year are additional products from Bayer’s crop protection portfolio, including herbicides, fungicides, inseticides and plant growth regulators. Included in the program for the first time this season are non-herbicide products such as the plant growth regulator Stance® and the harvest aids Finish® Pro 6 and Ginstar® cotton defoliant. Grower can earn an additional $1/acre for using these products, along with a Roundup® brand herbicide and another qualifying in-crop herbicide, per program rules.
“Through Rounup Ready PLUS, growers and retailers will have the opportunity to experience Bayer’s portfolio firsthand,” said Robert Schrick, Bayer Strategic Business Lead. “By combining Bayer’s expansive crop protection portfolio with Roundup brand agricultural herbicides and XtendiMax® herbicide, Bayer can offer growers great products and a full farm solution in way that we couldn’t before.”
Roundup Ready PLUS Crop Management Solutions was developed in conjunction with leading academics and industry partners to help farmers improve their weed control, especially tough-to-manage and glyphosate resistant weeds.
