Cotton Council International to Hold Meeting in Fort Worth, TX; CCI Social Media explodes in China
Cotton Council International announced it will host a meeting in Fort Worth, Texas in conjunction with National Cotton Council’s annual meeting on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.
The meeting will be held at the Omni Fort Worth from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
In other CCI news, CCI China & Hong Kong also launched its “COTTON USA – Naturally Color Your Life” campaign kick-off event in Beijing on Nov. 16. Since the event, CCI has collected 144 media clippings with a total advertising value of $2.2 million and a PR value of $ 5.4 million. CCI’s Shanghai Road Show on Dec. 5 has generated 73 media clippings with a total advertising value of $418,049 and a PR value of $1 million.
From Nov. 16 – Dec. 28, CCI’s official Weibo website also generated 22 posts, 4,041 reposts and 1,019 comments from 31 Weibo key opinion leaders. These reposts have reached 23.3 million Internet users and 20,701 followers. During the next six months, four more road show stops are to be held in Wuhan, Qingdao, Xiamen and Chengdu. The finale event will take place in Beijing at the end of May.
Another CCI branch, CCI Turkey, renewed 23 COTTON USA licenses.
The following Turkish companies have renewed their COTTON USA licenses: Abateks, Akcanlar, Akin, Anteks, Arateks, Atesa, Ensar, Hursan, Ilhanlar, Il-teks, Iskur, Isparta, Kurteks, Lutuf, Marteks, Matesa, Menderes, Menekse, Rotateks, Sarev, Turkuaz, Yilmaz and Zorluteks.
Collectively these companies use 560,000 bales of U.S. cotton per year.
