John Deere Launches Customized 4020 Giveaway and Purchase Incentives
November 24, 2009 In a departure from traditional equipment promotions, John Deere has launched its unique Big Buck customized 4020 tractor giveaway, as well as significant purchase incentives on utility tractors for customers for the end of 2009 and into 2010.
The Big Buck giveaway includes a classic John Deere 4020 that is customized by legendary automotive designer Chip Foose. Potential customers can register to win this vintage workhorse tractor from John Deere, or one of three John Deere Gators, by completing a registration form at their local John Deere dealership by June 30, 2010. No purchase or other obligation is required.
Barry Nelson, manager of media relations for John Deere, says the 4020 and Chip Foose were the ideal combination for this unique promotion. “Introduced in 1963, the 6-cylinder John Deere 4020 was touted as the new generation of power,” explains Nelson.
“With more than 170,000 tractors manufactured until 1972, the 4020 was one of the most popular, widely used and versatile tractor models ever built by John Deere, and the obvious choice for Chip Foose to customize for this promotion. It’s a program that is certain to generate a great deal of excitement not only among farmers, ranchers, property owners and commercial buyers, but with tractor collectors and automotive enthusiasts as well.”
Nelson adds that the customized 4020 will be highlighted at several trade shows and John Deere events planned for the first half of 2010. Winners of the tractor and Gators will be announced in July.
In addition to the customized 4020 promotion, John Deere is offering significant financial incentives on its 20-166 horsepower utility tractors from November 2, 2009, to February 1, 2010. “Customers can get cash discounts from $500 to $4,000, depending on the tractor and equipment packages they purchase, or zero percent financing,” Nelson explains. “These are some of the most attractive incentives we’ve offered for this time of year and should make high quality John Deere equipment an even greater value to prospective buyers.”
Equipment that qualifies for the purchase incentives includes John Deere Compact Utility Tractors and Utility Tractors up to the small frame 7030 Series tractors and attachments. Purchase incentives also apply to all specialty tractors. Certain qualifications and rules apply for both the Big Buck 4020 giveaway and purchase incentives programs.
