Preserving Weed Management Tools through Good Stewardship

Cotton growers looking for ways to cut trips across their fields to save money and time could be doing more harm than good – especially when it comes to weed management.

Large farms and erratic weather often makes it difficult for producers to cover all their acres for nutrient and pest management. Consequently, they are usually looking for ways to cut trips across the fields to save money and time.

A recent news post by Gaylon Morgan, Paul Baumann and Josh McGinty of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, points out that cutting corners – especially when it comes to weed management – could do more harm than good and end up costing growers more money in the short term and/or long term.
