Cotton Research Groups to Meet in Antalya, Turkey

The 11th Meeting of the Inter-Regional Cooperative Research Network on Cotton for the Mediterranean and Middle East Regions will be held in Antalya, Turkey from Nov. 5-7, 2012. The meeting is a joint activity of researchers from network’s various groups: breeding and biotechnology; agronomy; fiber and yarn technology; and the economy. The meeting’s organizing committee will prepare the detailed program in consultation with the Technical Information Section of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC).
The purpose of the event is to gather researchers from the different regions and groups to find multidisciplinary solutions to common problems that plague the industry. Each nation’s representative will present a country report on recent developments in the country and researchers and representatives of the cotton industry and commercial organizations are encouraged to submit reports and scientific papers.
Registration fees range from 100 Euros for the daily registration fee to 280 Euros, which includes full conference attendance, the welcome cocktail party, gala dinner, all meals, conference materials and four nights of accommodation at the IC Green Palace Hotel in Antalya.
