Enter Your Favorite Youngster in Kotton Kidz Photo Contest
November 8, 2011 In the coming year, Cotton Grower magazine and Dow PhytoGen are teaming up to turn the spotlight on the bumper crop you’re growing at home – your Kotton Kidz.
Cotton Grower is expanding upon our monthly Kotton Kidz department by allowing our readership to vote for their favorite Kotton Kid each month in an exciting online poll at KottonKidz.com.
Just as we have in the past, the Cotton Grower staff is putting out a call to all parents and grandparents to send us photos of your favorite farm youngsters. We’ll be selecting several photos to include in each issue of Cotton Grower magazine, but we’re adding an online home for those photos as well as other eligible Kotton Kidz entries at KottonKidz.com. Readers are encouraged to visit that site each month to vote on their favorite Kotton Kidz photo. All eligible monthly photos will be featured on the KottonKidz.com website for public voting.
Monthly voting periods begin on the first of each month and end on the last day of the month. A monthly winner for each month will be announced on or around the 7th day of the following month.
Each monthly winner will be entered into the Kotton Kidz Grand Prize contest at the end of the year. The 12 monthly winners will be reviewed by a panel of judges from Cotton Grower magazine and PhytoGen. After review, a Grand Prize Winner will be crowned and awarded a $1,000 savings bond and a $1,000 donation to their local FFA chapter, courtesy of PhytoGen.
In addition to being eligible for the end of the year prizes, monthly winners will also receive their photo in a “Kotton Kid of the Month” framed plaque.
To enter your favorite Kotton Kid photo, mail the photo to Kotton Kidz Photo Contest, 8000 Centerview Parkway, Suite 114, Cordova, TN 38018. Please include a written statement expressing that you give Cotton Grower permission to use your photo in the Kotton Kidz Photo Contest. The Cotton Grower staff is unable to return prints.
To enter an electronic image, go to www.KottonKidz.com and follow the directions to complete the online registration for the contest. Registration and entry in the contest is free. Once registered at the website, applicants should follow the online instructions to submit their entry to upload their favorite Kotton Kid photo. Specifics for digital picture submissions are available at KottonKidz.com.
