ICA Membership Numbers on the Rise
Since launching its new membership structure in January, the ICA has seen a big increase in membership applications. In just eight weeks, the ICA received 30 new applications — 14 firms and 16 individual members — which is significantly up on the same period last year.
Adding to the Association’s 360+ strong membership, the new applicants represent a wide variety of industry sectors from across the globe: China, Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Europe and Paraguay.
“This really is positive news,” says Kai Hughes, ICA’s managing director. “One of our major aims is to make ICA membership more affordable for all, especially producers and mills. We also aim to attract members from all segments of the industry, from all corners of the world.
“The new structure has been constructed to help us achieve this. Now, more than ever, it is essential for businesses of all sizes to protect themselves against potential trade risks and disputes. This is where ICA membership can help.
“There are now six membership packages available to suit every business type and size and, in the vast majority of cases, the overall cost of membership has reduced for member firms,” he concludes.
