ICA Offers Arbitration Exam, “Complete Cotton” Training Program

From the ICA

The next ICA Arbitrator Exam (Basic Level 1) will take place at the ACSA Convention in Chicago on May 27-29. To take the exam you’ll need to complete the course, which is available as a free download from the ICA website. Providing an introduction to the basic principles of the ICA technical arbitration process, the course is internationally recognised and open to ICA members and non-members. On successful completion (and after being elected an ICA member), you get the chance to offer your services as an ICA arbitrator and be eligible to sit on technical appeal committees.

In other ICA news, 21 international delegates have signed up to take part in this year’s ‘Complete Cotton’ ICA training program, which takes place in Liverpool, UK from 11-22 May. Focusing on all aspects of the raw cotton trade, the training has provided an excellent grounding for many of today’s influential players in the cotton world. It is a unique opportunity for delegates to learn about the cotton industry from some of the world’s leading professionals.

The delegates have a full schedule ahead and the ICA wishes them every success. The ICA would also like to thank the 30 presenters who’ll be delivering the training and the event sponsors – Louis Dreyfus, Cargill, SGS, Plexus, Olam and Wakefield Inspection Services.
