The cotton industry is looking for a better year and a pickup in demand. That was the takeaway message from the recent annual meeting of Plains Cotton Growers in Lubbock.
Collaboration between USDA agencies, the U.S. cotton industry, and the Bangladesh Ministry of Agriculture resulted in amended import requirements, exempting the U.S. from requirements to fumigate cotton upon arrival in Bangladesh.
