Results of the National Cotton Council’s 44th Annual Early Season Planting Intentions Survey show that U.S. cotton producers intend to plant 9.6 million total cotton acres this spring, down 14.5% from 2024.
USDA’s June 28 Planted Acres report showed that U.S. cotton growers have planted an estimated 11.7 million acres of upland and Pima cotton in 2024 – a 14% increase from 2023.
