Booker Joins Americot

Americot is pleased to announce that Chris Booker has joined the cotton seed company as Territory Manager for the Mid-South and the Southeast. In his new role, Booker is responsible for servicing cotton growers and seed dealers in these two strategic regions.

According to Americot general manager Terry Campbell, Booker draws on extensive regional experience working with the cotton industry. “Booker comes to us from Monsanto, where he was an Account Manager in northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel,” Campbell says. “He will help Americot’s presence grow even larger in the Mid-South and the Southeast. He has hit the ground running because of all of his extensive seed dealer, grower and consultant contacts. We’re really excited to have him on the Americot team.”

Booker grew up on a 3,000-acre rice and grain operation near Clarendon, AR. “I come from a farm family and have worked with dealers, growers and consultants,” he says. “I love being part of the Americot family, a company that growers and dealers are pleased with; they especially like the Americot brand variety, AM 1550 B2RF, and plan to grow even more of it in 2010. The feedback from the field about me joining Americot has been great.”

Americot, headquartered in Lubbock, TX, provides Southwest, Mid-South and Southeast cotton growers with quality planting seed of varieties that offer high yield potential and excellent fiber quality with the technologies that growers want and need.
