Fourteen Southern States Register Enlist Duo for Use on Enlist Crops

Fourteen Southern states have granted state registration of Enlist Duo herbicide for use on Enlist cotton and other crops, following the federal registration received in January 2017.

State approvals were granted in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia and Virginia, providing cotton, corn and soybean growers full access to the Enlist weed control system for those crops.

For cotton, growers who plant PhytoGen varieties with the Enlist trait now have three modes of action for postemergence weed control – glyphosate and new 2,4-D choline (the active ingredients in Enlist Duo) and glufosinate. The technology will help growers target their toughest weeds such as Palmer amaranth, waterhemp, giant ragweed and many others.

Enlist Duo features Colex-D technology, which limits drift and offers near-zero volatility to keep applications on target.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has registered Enlist Duo in 34 states, covering the vast majority of cotton, corn and soybean acres in the United States. Dow AgroSciences continues to receive timely state registrations, which are being posted online.
