The seminar – hosted by Cotton Grower magazine and presented by Bayer CropScience – will be held on August 19 at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Raising More Profit series was developed to provide information on timely topics of interest and tips on profitable cotton production.

The opening session in Tifton will feature Stanley Culpepper, University of Georgia Extension weed specialist, on the economic impact that herbicide resistant weeds have had – and continue to have – in terms of yield reductions and the costs of weed control programs, and Bob Kemerait, University of Georgia Extension pathologist, who will examine the dollars and cents of nematode management programs and the potential offered by new solutions heading to the market.

Both presentations will be followed by representatives of Bayer CropScience, who will review additional information on products and technologies to help manage weed resistance and on a potential new solution for nematode control.
