With defoliation and harvest season nearing, the 2014 Mid-South Defoliation Guide has been updated and is ready for grower use.
“Those who have worked with cotton fully understand the challenges associated with defoliation,” said Darrin Dodds, Mississippi State Extension cotton specialist. “The guide is intended to provide a starting point for defoliation application. But growers should use personal experience and keep current weather conditions and the 7-day forecast in mind when recommending and making applications.”
