Ehret Named Cotton Board Vice President of Program Information

Laura Ehret has been named Vice President of Program Information for The Cotton Board, effective August 25.

In this role, Ehret will oversee the organization’s communications division, guiding efforts to keep cotton producers, importers, and industry partners informed and engaged with the Cotton Research and Promotion Program.

“Laura brings a high level of experience, leadership, and vision to our organization,” says Bill Gillon, President & CEO of The Cotton Board. “She has already impressed us with her strategic approach and her ideas for strengthening our communications efforts.

“Her role will be vital not only in shaping the Cotton Research & Promotion Program’s outreach to our stakeholders, but also in helping ensure greater alignment across all national cotton organizations,” he adds. “A cohesive, consistent message is critical as we work to restore profitability and confidence in the industry.”

Ehret, who grew up on a cotton farm near Gadsden, AL, brings a wide range of communications and public relations experience, having most recently led communications efforts for the Memphis Grizzlies and FedExForum. She has also served in senior-level roles for several organizations including ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the National Basketball Association, as well as an extensive agency career serving multiple brands associated with NASCAR.
