2010 AFCOT Dinner
February 16, 2011 On October 7, 2010, the French Cotton Association (AFCOT) brought together more than 250 international participants for their professional dinner held in the elegant Deauville resort, located in the heart of Normandy. A joint seminar focusing on genetically modified cotton was organized by AFCOT and the African Cotton Association and gathered a large audiance. Other important topics covered during the event included world supply and demand, margin calls, and hedging cotton. Special guest speakers at the dinner included Ahmed Bachir Diop, President of the African Cotton Association, and Marcelo Escorel of Brazil, President, National Association of Cotton Exporters (ANEA).
Founded in 1890, the aim of the French Cotton Association is to promote and defend the interests of professionals in the cotton sector.
