ANEA Celebrates Export of 1 Million Tons from 2011 Crop

Cotton professionals from Brazil, Argentina, Spain, England, the United States, China, Switzerland, Italy, France and Japan all made the journey to help ANEA celebrate a very impressive milestone.

“The objective of this year’s ANEA event was to celebrate the record-high of more than 1 million tons of cotton exported from the 2011 crop,” said Marcelo Escorel, ANEA president. “We felt it was important to share that success because the market didn’t think we could do it. We brought executives from the International Cotton Association to celebrate with us and reinforce the fact that Brazil has become an important exporter of cotton.”
