China Reports Drop in Raw Cotton Imports

According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, China imported 217,000 tons of raw cotton in December 2009, up sharply by 92 percent from November 2009, and up by 28.7 percent year-on-year.

In 2009, China imported 1.527 million tons of raw cotton, down by 27.7 percent compared with 2008.
