Dates Announced for International Textiles Conference in India

The 7th annual international conference, “Advances in Textiles, Machinery, Nonwovens and Technical Textiles” (ATNT 2011) will take place in Coimbatore, India, from Dec. 15 to 17.

The conference is broad-based and will focus on the cutting-edge advancements in the emerging areas of natural and synthetic fibers, polymer and fiber production, general textiles, textile machinery, coloration and finishing, textile testing, nanotechnology, smart textiles, nonwoven and technical textiles.

The ATNT conference originated through the efforts of Lubbock-USA based Texas Tech University in 2004. The conference has grown in significance over the years and attracts over 200 people from many parts of the world.

This year’s event will be held as collaborative event between the U.S.-based Texas Tech University and Coimbatore-based Kumaraguru College of Technology. It will be held on the campus of Kumaraguru College of Technology in Coimbatore.
Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar of Texas Tech University and Prof. J. Srinivasan of Kumaraguru College of Technology are serving as organizing secretaries.
