ICAC to Address Responsible Sourcing Practices

The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) Secretariat, in cooperation with GlobalWorks Foundation, is organizing a workshop on “Best Practices to Ensure Responsible Sourcing in the Cotton Value Chain.” The workshop will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on May 11 at the Embassy of Australia, 1601 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington DC 20036.

This workshop will encourage adoption of best practices by highlighting effective strategies and will showcase responsible practices by reputable performers in the private sector. A panel of cotton merchants and planting seed producers will discuss the experiences of their companies in working within the cotton value chain. Discussion will focus on how governments can encourage such activity.
