May Named Executive VP of ACSA

William E. May has been named Executive Vice President of the Memphis-based American Cotton Shippers Association (ACSA).

May, who became ACSA senior vice president for international operations in 1998, will continue to oversee operations in Memphis and will now have responsibility over the association’ Washington office.

He joined ACSA in 1984 when he was named vice president of special projects and executive vice president of the Atlantic and Southern Cotton Associations.

In 1991 he was named Vice President of Administrative Operations, and in 1998 senior vice president of international and domestic operations.

May also serves as Secretary to the American and World Cotton Exporters Association. In 1995 he was given responsibilities for staffing the Steering Committee for the formulation and oversight of the ACSA International Cotton Institute.

In 2000 he was designated Chairman of the Steering and Curriculum Committees for the institute which now resides at the University of Memphis, Fogelman Executive Business Center.
