MSU Specialists to Lead Mississippi Agronomy Meeting

Agricultural consultants, certified crop advisers and others working in the field of agronomy can take part in an upcoming free educational meeting led by Mississippi State University researchers, faculty and Extension personnel.

Continuing education credits will be available at the Mississippi meeting of the American Society of Agronomy on Nov. 17 in the Grenada County Extension Office. Registration is due by Nov. 12.

MSU agronomists will cover a wide variety of topics including cotton management. An additional topic on the agenda is the use of poultry litter as a crop fertilizer.

“The association’s goal is to provide information about crops and soils and the conditions affecting them,” Reginelli said. “We want to provide a medium for the exchange of ideas that is useful to agricultural workers in Mississippi.”
