New ACSA Officers Assume Their Posts

The Memphis, Tennessee-based American Cotton Shippers Association announced that William E. May has been elected President at the conclusion of its 87th annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

May was named ACSA’s executive vice president in August 2009 and will serve in his capacity as president and chief staff executive with oversight of the Memphis office, Washington operations, and the ACSA International Cotton Institute, which is located at the Fogelman Executive Center University of Memphis.

ACSA is the national industry organization for U.S. cotton merchants who buy and sell all growths of cotton that is sold to the international and domestic textile industries. The association works on a myriad of issues affecting the trading of cotton in the spot, futures, and international markets.
