Speaker Lineup Set for 2013 CI Global Summit
The full program for the 2013 Cotton International Global Summit has been set, with each of the four sessions featuring three global thought leaders in their respective fields, according to Mike McCue, the event’s program chair.
“Typically, industry meetings and conferences feature a handful of world-class speakers, but to have a dozen of them offering their perspectives at a single meeting is unique to the Global Summit,” McCue said. “It is a crucial part of fulfilling the Summit’s theme: ‘United for a Better Trade.’ The industry faces no shortage of changes and challenges, and no one person – or even an entire sector – can solve them alone. That’s why there are three expert speakers per panel: We want them to interact with each other and the attendees. Collaboration and interaction are critical to the success of the Summit.”
The four plenary sessions will be preceded by presentations from ICAC Executive Director Terry Townsend, who will provide an overview of the global cotton industry, and CNCIC’s Xi Jin, who will offer an insider’s view of the Chinese cotton industry.
