Texas Couple’s Passion for Cotton Earns BASF Catalog Cover

Pride and passion for their farm inspired Bobbi Pratt to photograph fields of cotton, wheat and sunflowers and commission paintings for her home’s “agriculture wall.”

This same passion inspired Pratt to enter a BASF cotton creativity contest, where their cotton field painting – created by artist J.A. Carondeleigh, an oil painter from North Carolina – was selected for the cover of the 2021 BASF Cotton Variety Catalog.

Bobbi Pratt commissioned artist J.A. Carondeleigh to create this oil painting, based on an original photograph taken in one of her cotton fields. The image has been selected as the cover art for the 2021 BASF Cotton Variety Catalog.

“Cotton is the greatest natural fiber, it’s sustainable and is a fabric for many purposes,” Pratt said. “We’re both big cotton advocates.”
