The Cotton World Comes to Texas
The 69th Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) was held Sept. 20-25 in Lubbock, Texas, drawing about 400 attendees from across the globe. This year’s theme–“Cotton Industry Growth through Global Unity”–focused on topics of concern to all industry stakeholders: water usage, sustainability, logistics, and new cotton technologies. Since 1939, ICAC has been fulfilling its mission: “to assist governments in fostering a healthy world cotton economy. The role of the ICAC is to raise awareness, provide information and serve as a catalyst for cooperative action on issues of international significance.”
