Charles V. Michell, Jr. has been named President and COO for North Little Rock, Ark. based AgRobotics, LLC. The company manufactures the AutoProbe, a GPS-directed automatic soil sampling machine.
Michell was formerly head of US Sales and Support Services lead at Monsanto Company in St. Louis and was responsible for commercial operations with respect to supply and demand forecast planning, strategic account operations, customer service and inside sales. Prior to joining Monsanto, Michell was VP of U.S. Operations and Supply Chain Management for Delta and Pine Land Company (D&PL).

Michell’s twenty-five year career spans information technology, supply chain management, strategic planning, process automation and engineering across multiple industries including healthcare, utilities, custom steel operations and agribusiness. In his role with D&PL, he was responsible for operations, supply chain management/logistics and information systems with a focus on process improvements, facilities and organizational development aligning with market strategies and forecasting. He also managed quality assurance, business analysis, customer fulfillment, sales strategic planning and project management during his twenty year tenure with D&PL.
