Americot: Making A Bigger Footprint

Americot has made a bigger footprint from the Southwest to the Carolinas in recent years. And the company has accomplished it by providing cotton growers with the varieties that they need in the technology that they want.

Americot General Manager Terry Campbell explains, “Cotton growers know that our NexGen and Americot brand varieties are cottons they can count on year in and year out”

Americot’s two newest NexGen brand cottons have raised the bar for Southwest growers. NG 3348 B2RF, a Bollgard II/Roundup Ready Flex cotton, and NG 3410 RF, a Roundup Ready Flex cotton, offer excellent yield potential, excellent fiber package, and excellent seedling vigor in storm proof varieties that exhibit verticillium wilt tolerance.

Both NG 3348 B2RF and NG 3410 RF are semi-smooth leaf, early-medium maturity, open plant types. NG 3348 B2RF has a 36-38 staple, 28-29 strength and 3.7-4.5 mic. NG 3410 RF, a sister line to NG 3348 B2RF, has 36-38 staple, 29-31 strength and 3.7-4.5 mic.

Another outstanding choice for Southwest growers is Americot brand AM 1532 B2RF, which is well suited for irrigated as well as non-irrigated acres.
